I have a personal story to share. In 2015, my son Doug reminded me that I used to write poems about his class at the end of every elementary school year. I had forgotten about that side of myself, but the recovery began almost instantaneously—and I started writing poetry again.

Keep At It is a personal effort to create and promote the joy and happiness that make our lives and everyone around us better. The goal is to challenge kindness within ourselves and pay it forward with the same gratitude and no-quit attitude from role models who continuously lift humanity up with their generosity and compassion.
After a fulfilling and fun four years, I have made the decision to transition from Gluten Free Sage to solely writing poetry. I have loved every second of it and am incredibly grateful, as Gluten Free Sage is what opened me to writing and creating things I love in the first place.
My mom Annabelle, who is now 82 years old, was an only child who lost both of her parents at a fairly young age. She showed me what it takes to be tough, smart, kind, and to never give up. However, the biggest thing she probably taught me is that your vibe attracts your tribe.
After much trial and error, I feel like I’ve landed in a beautiful place of health, healing & happiness. Wellness, healthy food, peace and beauty are all inextricably linked. They cannot be considered separately. Eating healthy, physical activity, a positive outlook, getting rest, and working on inspiring, purposeful projects are all integral to each other for happiness and well-being. It’s the balance of an organized whole that is perceived as more than the sum of its parts.
I love it when all the words come together, and even better when all the pieces fit together.
It doesn’t always happen, but last month went seamless.
