Spending consistent intervals of time on a project is how things get accomplished. It’s not rocket science, but it does relate to physics and how we can all live our best lives. Creating a healthy diet requires repeating the same thing over and over again. It develops discipline and habits that keep us well. Everyone wants to feel good!
Direct results happen, and not by magic. In physics, periodic motion is when the motion of an object continually repeats itself, like a bouncing ball, a heartbeat, or the Earth in its orbit around the sun. In practice, I call this perpetual action perseverance and hard work.
Periodic motion thus represents the basic building blocks of time.
It’s almost as if you could set your watch to this—the cycles and routine of your daily life. When you consistently repeat positive actions and behaviors, you meet goals. You accomplish great things.
In the same way that money multiplies through compound interest, the effects of your habits amplify as you repeat them. It’s how life stays sharp, fresh and wonderful. Think of what good quality sleep means and how it affects our bodies and minds when we get it consistently each night. Everything else should follow suit.
Our life force is there to guide us and the vibrations can endure forever. As the Earth in its orbit around the sun repeats in regular intervals, so does the love and care of raising your children—or being a part of anything that is meaningful and important. We build loving, independent-thinking humans. We get badass, strong bodies to carry us on our way. We construct and design things and work on projects we are proud of.
It’s a privilege to stick with something for decades long and see the tremendous results.
Moving over the same repeated path might seem boring, but it’s how wondrous things happen! And if it’s done with vital energy and gratitude, it is simply spectacular.
Qi
Vital energy
The life force
That helps me breathe
More easily
I count 1-2-3
Me and my Qi
Have all we need
For all eternity
Our bodies and souls are designed to live in peace and harmony. Like the movement of Jupiter’s moons in an amplitude you can measure, it’s poetry in motion and makes life the brightest and most beautiful.
